Dear New Hypnosis Client,
Take a break from the hectic bustle of the modern world and ask yourself: What does the name Morpheus mean to you? If you're like most people in today's culture, you picture Lawrence Fishburne in a black trenchcoat, dodging bullets and forcing Keanu Reeves to confront the true nature of reality.
But despite the popularity of the Matrix film franchise, Morpheus has been known for eons as the Greek god of dreams, appearing in the sleep of heroes and kings. That's where The Morpheus Clinic for Hypnosis derives its name.
Here at The Morpheus Clinic in downtown Toronto, we use safe and effective hypnosis and hypnotherapy techniques to turn your desires into reality.
Hypnosis Can Be the Secret to Making the Change You Desire
Turn your desires into reality? With hypnosis? I just made a very big claim.
Let me qualify that claim. The only person who can take action to improve your life is you. As a hypnotist, there's no way I can “take over your mind,” like you see in movies, and force you to do all the things you've always wanted to do. Even in a hypnotic trance, you retain full control over yourself.
But which “you” are we talking about? Who is in control of your thoughts, feelings and habits?
Let me ask you something: Is it true that every time you want to do something that wracks your nerves, like speaking in public, you can do it easily and effortlessly? Is it true that any time you want to curb your unhealthy habits, you can just go ahead and do it? And it is really true that when you have a dream or vision, you do all that it takes to bring your dream into fruition?
If you answered yes to all of those questions, you don't need my help. But if there's a part of you that stops you from doing all the things you truly desire, keep on reading.
Think of it this way. There are two parts to each of us: a conscious mind and an unconscious (or subconscious) mind. Milton Erickson, a psychiatrist who became famous for his work with hypnosis, describes the relationship between the conscious mind and the unconscious mind as a horse and rider. The rider thinks he's in control, because he's sitting in the saddle and holding the reins. And that's true—as long as the horse is following his directions.
But what happens when the horse becomes startled and bolts off in a different direction? At that point, it's the rider who's going along for the ride. His control is only an illusion. If your thoughts, feelings or habits are out of control, it's because your subconscious mind is "bolting off" in a direction that's different from where you consciously want to go.
The way to tame your subconscious mind is through hypnosis.
How I Discovered Hypnosis as a High School Science Geek (and Became Less of a Geek for Doing So)
Let me introduce myself. My name is Luke Chao, and I'm the founder, instructor and head hypnotherapist The Morpheus Clinic for Hypnosis in downtown Toronto. Using hypnosis as my tool of choice, I help my clients create the lives they want.
Now, you might be skeptical that hypnosis can work for you. When I first started studying hypnosis ten years ago, I was skeptical, too. I had only seen hypnosis in movies and Saturday morning cartoon shows. Being a scientifically minded, show-me-the-evidence kind of guy, I considered hypnosis to be too outlandish to be real. And supposing that it did work, wouldn't that be a little… well, terrifying?
I dug deeper, and to my surprise, I found THOUSANDS of scientific papers in respected, peer-reviewed medical journals documenting the fact that hypnosis works. If you don't believe me, go to PubMed, the database of medical abstracts, and type in "hypnosis" or "hypnotherapy."
This surprised me. Most hypnotherapists will talk about past lives, chakras and channeling, yet they don't cite the massive body of scientific literature supporting the effectiveness of hypnosis. While I remain open to all the wonderful things beyond the realm of science, I saw no reason to ignore the hard, experimental evidence that exists in abundance!
Armed with a newfound confidence in the power of hypnosis, I started to hypnotize myself regularly. And to my delight, it worked wonderfully.
If you knew me in high school, you'd be shocked to see me today. I remember giving a class presentation in grade 10 and being so scared that the notes in my hand became a shaking, unreadable blur. After using hypnosis to eliminate my fear of public speaking, I started to volunteer to speak in public regularly. And that's just one thing I changed in myself.
Realizing the power of hypnosis, I became obsessed with learning everything I could about it. In 2004, I finally bit the bullet and received a certification in hypnotherapy, which allowed me to practise hypnosis professionally.
I can't be a skeptic anymore. In fact, I've practically become an evangelist.
How I Became a Published Personal Development Author at the Age of 22
Until 2006, I didn't advertise hypnotherapy to the public. Sure, I hypnotized my friends and everybody they referred to me, but I spent most of my time researching and co-writing books on personal development.
I had dreamed about being a writer since a very young age, but it wasn't until I learned a few things about reality creation that I realized my dream could become a reality. As a result, I became a multi-published author at an age when most of my peers were still trying to pay back their student debts.
I think these books might interest you. If not, you can skip to the next section.
I wrote each of the books under the guidance of an expert in a particular field, and I contributed insights into how your subconscious mind can help you in various ways. You can find these books at Amazon.com or Chapters/Indigo, or you could come to my office, and I'd be happy to let you sit in the reception room and read them one by one:
- Intuitive Security for Women by Lloyd Vaughan with Luke Chao (2005). Lloyd is a former OPP officer who now provides security to certain celebrities when they come to Canada. Our book is about how to secure your home, stay safe on the street, and prevent identity theft and fraud. I also write about how you can access your intuition to receive subconscious signals warning you of danger.
- Abundance for Love, Life and Money by Linda Gabriel with Luke Chao (2005). Linda is a hypnotherapist in Hollywood, California. We write about how to remove your mental blocks to abundance, and how to attract love, happiness and money into your life.
- Seducing Your Woman by Sydnee Steele with Luke Chao (2006). Sydnee Steele is an adult film star and an amazingly insightful and warm-hearted woman. Our book is about how men can improve themselves to become more attractive to the women they adore.
- The Art of Persistence: The Sanjay Way by Sanjay Burman with Luke Chao (2007). Sanjay is a film producer and entrepreneur. He's one of the most fearlessly persistent people I know, and he has amazing stories to show it.
By the way, Sydnee Steele asked me to hypnotize her to quit smoking, and I did a session with her before she flew back to Los Angeles. A year later, she was kind enough to send me these words:
I craved cigarettes in social and drinking situations. I asked Luke for an age regression so that I could be free to socialize without craving nicotine. We had a single session, and within the next two months, the cravings went away. Now I am a non-smoker.
Not all of my clients send me testimonials—even if they got the results they wanted—so I'm grateful to those who let me use their words and their name to back my claims. Thanks, Sydnee!
Your Choice for Hypnosis and Hypnotherapy in the Toronto Area
Over the past few years, I've helped hundreds of clients stop smoking, become more motivated, overcome blocks, eliminate emotional overeating, manage fears and learn to relax—sometimes in as a little as one hour-long session, and usually within four sessions. I make the best use of our time by using rapid hypnotic inductions and modern hypnotic techniques once you're inside of hypnosis.
My standard rate is $120 per one-hour session. My student and senior rate is $100 per session. For sessions scheduled past 5 p.m. or on a weekend, please add a $20 premium. (5% GST is added to all costs.)
Starting 2008, I have been adding associate hypnotists to my practice. Anna Shvets is offering an hourly rate of $80/hr for a limited time only. Anna comes from a background in medical research and provides service in English, Russian and Hebrew.
For smoking cessation, I have a $395 flat rate, which includes as many sessions as are necessary until you are a non-smoker, as well as follow-up sessions as needed to help you remain a non-smoker (up to one year). You'll make back the cost of this service in your first two months of being a non-smoker.
If you're just looking for the hypnotist with the lowest hourly rate, or if you want your hypnotist to incorporate mysticism or spirituality into the work, I'll be happy to refer you to a hypnotist who might be a better fit with you. But if you want a hypnotist who makes efficient use of the time we spend together, emphasizes real-world results, and is extremely passionate about hypnosis, while charging rates below other top-level hypnotists in Toronto, please contact us for a consultation.
The Risk-Free, Money-Back Guarantee That Few Hypnotherapists Are Bold Enough to Offer
I was deeply conflicted about offering a money-back guarantee to my clients. Very few hypnotists in the world offer this kind of guarantee. Even my teacher advised against it, because there's no way I can guarantee another person's behaviour. She's right: Despite my best efforts to accept only motivated clients and perform the best hypnosis I can, my overall success rate isn't 100 percent. In the end, it's your responsibility to change, which means that only person who can guarantee your success is you.
So why did I decide to offer a money-back guarantee, knowing that I'm risking a substantial loss to my income for something that's not even in my control?
If you're new to hypnosis, you're probably have a healthy skepticism about the process. And to be fair, there's tremendous variation in the skill of different practitioners, not to mention inflated credentials and outright quackery. Skepticism is perfectly natural to somebody first starting to investigate hypnosis.
But I'm not skeptical. I'm very confident that most of my clients will get results in the real world, and that means I am more than happy to put my money where my mouth is. Either I will help you get the results you want within a reasonable number of sessions, or I will refund all of your money so that you can take it to somebody else who can.
Now, this doesn’t mean you have a free pass to use my time without fulfilling your side of the bargain. In the case that you need to claim a refund, you will have to sign a document stating that:
- You were truly and deeply committed to change throughout the course of the sessions.
- You had completed all the self-hypnosis homework I gave to you, if it's assigned (no more than 15 minutes a day).
- Despite doing everything you could, the hypnosis just didn't work for you.
- You will take the money I return to you and spend it on another hypnotist, counsellor, doctor, group workshop, or other resource of your choice, to continue working on the same problem.
I think this is fair. If you don't think you can honestly sign off on all the points above, please don't contact me until you know you can. Since I will only work with motivated clients, I will always write a cheque to a client who claims a refund after the requisite number of sessions (usually five), with no hard feelings.
By the way, if it turns out that you can't enter hypnosis during your first session, don't worry about the above; I simply won't charge you for the session. And there are some problems I can't guarantee, but if this is the case, I will let you know upfront.
My guarantee means you carry absolutely no risk when you decide to work with me. So why not give it a shot?

P.S.: In May 2008, I discovered that another hypnotist has copied my results-based guarantee, using wording that is almost the same as mine. I am not affiliated with this hypnotist and cannot endorse his services. My specific refund policy is a world-wide original, and reflects my desire to build a thriving, ethical, long-lasting business.
P.P.S.: I'm offering free, 30-minute consultations to new clients (worth $60) so you can learn about hypnosis and find out whether it can work for you. To schedule this informative session, call or e-mail me to claim your consultation today.
