We are capable of producing high-quality hypnosis recordings, either to reinforce the work we do one-on-one, or as your only way of engaging with us. Since you’re going to be using your recording for potentially many years to come, we want to make sure that this recording is extremely high-quality, and to that end, we’ve assembled a recording chain that would fit comfortably into a musician’s or voiceover artist’s home studio:
- Electro-Voice RE-20, Sennheiser 416 or Sennheiser MK4 microphone
- dbx 286s microphone pre-amp/processor
- Steinberg UR-22 USB interface
- Ubuntu Studio–based computer
The microphones are the star of the show: We’ve selected top-performing, professional microphones to ensure a warm and resonant voice quality.
Recordings will have a small amount of post-processing applied to them, and can be mixed with licensed meditation music. Most recordings are about 25 to 30 minutes long. The final recording is delivered as a downloadable MP3. Please listen to this free sample to hear my voice and the quality of the recording:

Naturally, any recordings we make will be tailored for your needs, goals and motivations. While we do sometimes make recordings on the first session (most notably for insomnia), we’ve found that talking into a microphone rather than to the client can interfere with the natural give-and-take of a hypnotherapy session. Therefore, we normally recommend starting with at least one live session before proceeding with a recording, unless you’re already very familiar with hypnosis.
Compared to the cost of hiring a script writer, voiceover artist and studio time, our price of $500 Canadian Dollars (plus HST) for a personal recording is quite affordable. (If you are in the United States, that translates to around $390 U.S. Dollars at the time of writing.) If you require a licence for redistribution or commercial use, fees or royalties are negotiable.
