We are hiring! If you’re looking to start or further a career that makes a social impact by helping people to live healthier lives, this position could be right for you. We’re a small wellness practice established in 2006 that’s growing steadily and determined to transform the way that mental health care is delivered. Currently we are looking for a full-time client care and office assistant to work alongside smart, driven team members in responsibilities such as:
- Being the first point of contact for new clients
- Consistent followup to maintain client relationships
- Diligent record-keeping for scheduling and payments
- Basic audio, video and content editing
- Posting on social media, primarily YouTube and TikTok
- Keeping the office clean and tidy
- Other office- or marketing-related tasks that might arise
In a small business like this, you’ll perform this variety of tasks that can change day to day, rather than doing the same thing every day. If you like to keep your mind busy or have an entrepreneurial streak of your own, you will perform well in this position. All necessary training will be provided, as we expect to be developing entry-level talent.
The ideal candidate is:
- An excellent communicator
- Relationship-oriented, empathic and helpful
- Comfortable learning new technology
- Familiar with mental health and wellness
- Able to work independently without supervision
- A reasonably proficient touch-typist (60+ WPM)
We have flexible hours available from Monday to Saturday. You would have to be on-site at our physical office in Toronto. Starting pay is between $22 and $25 per hour.
Experience in health care, customer service or as an office/executive assistant is beneficial, but not necessary if you’re a quick learner. We have a preference for liberal arts graduates from the University of Toronto, but will consider all academic backgrounds. This would be a perfect job for a new graduate who’s looking for meaningful, rewarding work that builds a resume or that could turn into a lifelong tenure if you choose to stay at our company. We are a neurodivergent-friendly workplace.
Please e-mail your resume to us, along with either a thoughtful message or cover letter that helps us understand why you’re a good fit for the role, addressed to Luke. You can optionally include your unofficial transcript, or writing samples. Do not call or visit us without an invitation. Because we are looking for a capable thinker and communicator, and I will personally read and consider every cover letter and resume that comes directly to us, your correspondence will matter more than how marketable your resume is. Thanks, and good luck!
Thank you, and good luck!
